ELO-Punktesystem des STT
Der STT führt in der Saison 2010/2011 ein neues Bewertungssystem basierend auf ELO-Punkten ein. Neben der herkömmlichen Bewertung (D1-A20) wird für jede Spielerin/jeden Spieler eine ELO-Zahl geführt, die jeweils zu Beginn der Saison von der regulären Klassierung abgeleitet. Das neue System basiert auf Wahrscheinlichkeiten. Vorteile sind, dass weniger Verzerrungen entstehen und die Bewertung international leichter vergleichbar wird.
Die Wahrscheinlichkeit p wird für eine Begegnung zwischen Spieler A und B basierend auf ihren Bewertungen RA und RB berechnet: 0 = Sieg unmöglich, 0,5 = fifty-fifty-Chance, 1 = 100prozentiger Sieg. Der STT vergibt 15 Punkte für den unmöglichen Sieg, 7.5 Punkte für die fifty-fifty-Chance, und 0 Punkte für den 100prozentigen Sieg.
